How to identify Native chicken?

Native chicken is a popular name for local chicken breeds. It is also called “grass chicken”, “chai chicken” and “stupid chicken”. It is mainly divided into meat type, egg type and egg type according to the use. The appearance characteristics of local chickens are diverse, with an adult body size of 4 kg and a small size of 0.6 kg. Unlike broiler chickens that are intensively raised, local chickens are usually stocked in mountain forests or orchards, and are also kept in simple chicken houses or greenhouses. Native chicken has the advantages of resistance to rough feeding and strong disease resistance, but most local chickens have the disadvantages of slow growth rate, low egg production and low feed conversion rate.

From the appearance, the chicken has a small head, a compact body, a strong chest and leg muscles, and a thin chicken claw. When identifying chickens, the specific identification is mainly from the following three aspects:
(1) The real chickens are relatively primitive varieties. Without crossbreeding, the adult cocks will not weigh more than 2.5 kilograms and the hens will not exceed 2 kilograms.
(2) There will be butter in the real chicken belly, but there will not be many, and the meat is tight.
(3) The purchase of chicken can not be determined by the color of the skin, mainly through four: the head should be small, the hair should be bright, the feet should be thin, and the pores should be small.
