Thailand’s true aquaculture has lost 20 million

More than 60 aquaculture farmers in Pattani's SaiBuri area in Thailand collectively lost about 20 million baht (about US$635,000). According to reports, last weekend, more than 100 fish baskets in the region were all killed, causing heavy losses for farmers.

The Thai fisheries department claims that the cause of a large number of deaths is the high acidity of the water caused by low oxygen levels.
