Strong exports stimulate Vietnam to develop salmon farming

It is reported that in the first two months of 2008, eight aquatic products processing plants in the southern part of Vietnam's DongThap province exported a total of 9,900 tons of aquatic products.

According to statistics from the Vietnam Aquatic Export Processing Association, the profit of only exporting fish is 30.65 million US dollars, an increase of 90.9% over 2007.

Currently, five factories have expanded their productivity. At the same time, DongThap Province has plans to set up a new project to increase the production of plutonium, which is expected to reach 200,000 tons per year. This year, the plan is expected to bring about $200 million in exports to Vietnam.
