After suing the World Trade Organization (WTO), Thailand won the US anti-dumping law on frozen shrimp meat, but Thai shrimp farmers still lack confidence in exporting to the US market. It is estimated that the United States will be able to implement the WTO's judgment in the middle of next year, which has caused Thailand to be at a disadvantage compared with other competitors.
At present, the United States still imposes anti-dumping duties on Thai shrimp products. It will take some time to cancel this measure, resulting in Thailand still having no advantage over other trading countries (such as India, the Philippines, Vietnam and other countries with zero tariff preferential policies). The shrimp farmers are still facing greater pressure. (Editor of China Aquaculture Network)PRE:Vietnam Basha fish is the first breeding success in China
