Increase in the proportion of Russian black caviar imports

The Russian business consulting website reported on May 30 that cod roe (black caviar) and cod roe (red caviar) are not only delicious, but also very healthy, because the caviar contains many trace elements. Black caviar contains a complete set of amino acids, including glutamine, aspartic acid, lysine, serine, and leucine; minerals include: potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, and iron, as well as many vitamins.

In 2014-2018, the proportion of imported products in the Russian cod roe (black caviar) market more than doubled: from 18.6% in 2014 to 38.8% in 2018. The market share of Russian domestic products has shrunk from 81.4% to 61.2%. This is due to the positive development of the supply of cod roe from China. The increase in the proportion of imported products in the salmon market has made the competition situation of Russian domestic producers more complicated.
